Walker to 30 Minute Runner is designed for both beginner runners and for those who are getting back to running after a break.  If you are looking for a gradual approach to becoming a runner, the support of a group, advice on running related issues, accountability, and fun, this group is for YOU!  

I highly recommend the Walker to 30 minute runner program led by Sandra Buchanan. I joined the first group she had that finished in the summer and really enjoyed experiencing the weekly progressions as well as the thrill of running 30 minutes on the last day! I have continued to run 2 to 3 times a week and am grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of this excellent program.

This 8 Week Program Includes:

  • 8 week running clinic meeting twice weekly + 3rd prescribed walk/run outing

  • Warm up exercises and cool down stretches with every session

  • Walk/run intervals start at 4.5 minutes walking and 30 seconds running, 6x; gradually increasing run portion completing with a full 30 minute run.

This program was just what I needed. I’ve never been a runner and always found it discouraging. Sandra provided a friendly, approachable, encouraging atmosphere and I found myself looking forward to each meet up with the group.
